The ten best designed teams in the NFL are 12-1 so far against negatively designed teams (winning by an average of 11.8 points per game) after Atlanta exposed Green Bay as an imposter on Thursday night.

Seattle is the best designed team in the NFL (+13.33% play design differential) and Washington is 31st (-9.74%). Seahawks QB Sam Darnold is back. Last year he lit the Commanders up (21-24-340-4 TDs) in a 38-14 win at Northwest Stadium in Landover, MD. The Commanders still cannot cover (9.250 DQYPA) and will be without S Nick Cross and LB Frankie Luvu. The Seahawks have the best pass coverage in the NFL (4.410 DQYPA) but will be without S Julian Love and S Ty Okada. However, Washington QB Jayden Daniels is out with a dislocated elbow so HC Dan Quinn will have to ride with backup Marcus Mariota. G Sam Cosmi is also out. That don’t sound too promising. Under Mike McDonald, Seattle was 4-0 as a road favorite in 2025 and easily covered at Arizona last week.

The Cardinals (-7.65% play design differential, 28th) go to San Francisco (+7.71%, 4th) to confront red-hot 49ers QB Brock Purdy, who is averaging 9.679 QCYPA. Arizona has some pass rush, but Trent Williams and company provide solid protection, and Purdy is an elite sack avoider. Defensively, San Francisco will be without pass rusher Nick Bosa and that will hurt. Provided WR Mike Evans goes, Purdy should have enough weapons to overcome the loss of Bosa this week.

I do not want to lay points north of a TD + PAT, so I teased Seattle down to -1.5 and San Francisco down to -2.5 at a cost of -133.
